Monaco supports up to eight channels of cinema-quality sound - simply add WiSA-certified speakers. Solid review Todd.Sensitivity of 88dB seems unusually low, guess thats to be expected. The speaker level inputs on the sub are a pretty nice feature, and not one you would expect for a system of this caliber. That kind of sale price always raises eyebrows, dont it?
WHAT are THE BEst pin connector to use on these terminals? I bought the monoprice connectors and they do not fit well without bending the pin. You should be able to, looking at your specs but your system is a 7.2. So to get the best sound I would think you will need additional speakers and another sub woofer. I have never seen a subwoofer with a right and left input, and it is just a single woofer in the enclosure.
Hardware Review Monoprice Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer Review
In the spec section you can see manual in pdf form. It describes wire length vs approximate wire gauge you should use. Ours DID NOT work with our receiver using only one input.
I would not worry about shielded speakers today with LCD screens unless you store your VHS, BETA, audio cassette, 8-track, and or open real tapes near them. I'm not a super audio guy but I did pair this with my Klipsch and I truly love it. In fact I do like the sound better of the mono price speakers. I'm old and my ears are bad, plus a govt employee. I have two subs on both side of tv with in ceiling speakers. 2 subs sound better than 1 if your receiver can handle 2.

I do not have the Premium 5.1 channel sub but i do have the 150 watt Powered sub. It has a crossover knob that lets you adjust which frequencies are coming out of it. Obviously at 150 watts Its not the loudest thing in the world, but for my home system its perfect. Hi, this device is not Bluetooth capable. You must hook them up to a receiver. I was confused as well having not seen this hookup before.
Although, they do not have standard mounting. With a quick search I did not find the correct mounting hardware for these on monoprice. They require a shaft like piece that fits through the bottom of the speaker. This has some serious power behind it and the subwoofer is amazing.

I am sure this is not a problem with hdmi, but my projector does not have an hdmi input. I had to set up the system like I had my old Sony system. Overall a good quality system, just the switching of inputs could use some work. I'm not a audiophile, but I find the sound system great and love the multiple av inputs that cover both my older and newer periphals, from Apple TV to an old tape cassette player. I'm comfortable with hands on set up but did have to do it rather patiently and I'm sure I don't have all of the settings perfect. I've had it for a month and continue to play with various sound settings for different circumstances.
The only other thing that might turn people away is that the unit puts out a lot of heat, and the clearances required on the top and sides for ventilation are pretty big. It's not recommended that you put it in an enclosed slot in your entertainment center. The best 5.1 home theater system is a combination of different speakers and subwoofers. It can produce the most realistic sound experience. The quality of sound provided by the best 5.1 home theater system is incomparable to other systems that are not as good as it.
Bought the set on August 2014 to set up with a RX-V675 and 8 years later both are up and running perfectly, being used for hours every day since. Satellites fell down accidentally from the stands a couple of times on this period and are now showing marks of age but still working perfectly same as sub and center. As someone mentioned, this are not high-end speakers but seeing this product quality and hoping the new ones maintain it, if time comes, I would buy them again with eyes closed. There is no easy way to connect this system to the speaker out of a 15-watt tube amp; all of the speakers are designed to be directly connect to an AV receiver. These speakers will work with any amp that can handle 8-ohm speakers and puts out 100 watts of power or less.
So this really has me confused, and I feel like I am missing something. It did not come with this unusual splitter but did come with a pair of RCA connectors which I cannot figure out when, if ever, those would be used on it. So it all has me quite confused, and I feel like I am missing something or the instructions have a serious omission. My 7.1 in the theatre room gives this one a run for its money. The acoustics in this family room are far from ideal.
Install was straight forward as was the set up. The mounting screws were a little off and I had to get a different screw, as described in other reviews. Still in the warm up phase so I have not pushed the system yet.
From a 120 degrees sitting area the sound is great .The auto adjust feature worked perfectly. If you have the funds -this one is worth buying. It does not have a DVD player - you will need to purchase a streaming DVD player for $90 to really get the value of this upgrade.
